Inner City Respite in Kangaroo Point

Inner city living has been given a contemporary make over with a light filled and elegant garden complimenting the mid-century modern aesthetic of this Kangaroo Point home.

We were tasked with installing a garden penned by Scribbly Gum Design. Floating bluestone steppers provide a playful entry to the home; their organic form juxtaposed with the geometry and structure of the rear garden. Layered greens including Dichondra, Creeping Fig and Pencil Pines sit comfortably amongst natural stone and rendered masonry to bring both softness and structure to the space. Layers of texture and colour created by the planting scheme form a striking backdrop to the all-white aesthetic while bringing a sense of space and privacy to this small inner-city block. Mature trees (Tristaniopsis) planted along the side of the house provide dappled shade and a sense of age and permanence in this new garden.

This garden provides recreation and respite for the owners and is a breath of fresh air nestled among the inner suburbs.
